Paint. HEMATITE PAINT, Manufactured at Nelson, New Zealand, by T. B. LOUISSON, From the Hematite Iron Ore, obtained from the Collingwood District, in the PROVINCE OF NELSON, from the Para Para Mines. " This PAINT being a pure Peroxide of Iron, is naturally the best Article that can be applied to Iron for its preservation. Paints composed of Lead, Zinc, or Copper, should never be applied to Iron, as by galvanic action they will injure and eat into it, causing it in time to become honey-combed. This PAINT will enter more readily into the pores of wood than most other Paints, thereby adding greatly to its preservation. It can, therefore, be recommended as being Superior for Priming of Timber as a foundation for all other colored Paints. It will also be found to be cheaper than other paints, as it is Manufactured and Sold in Nelson for less than is charged for Lead or Zinc Paints ; and, taking weight for weight, it will cover a much larger surface. ORDERS given to any of the Officers of the Anchor Line Steamers will be promptly attended to.
