NEW ZEALAND SHIPPING COMPANY. On the 19th February the second ship of the New Zealand Shipping Company was launched from John JBlumer's yard, and named the Waikato. She is the sister ship to the Rakaia, of over 1000 tons, and will be commanded by a Captain H odder. The Waikato will take iv her dead weight at Sunderland, and come round to London and tak in her immigrants and sail for New Zealand about the 20th of March. The ship Dorette, Captain Ayles, sailed from Gravesend quite full of both emigrants and cargo on the 21st. She has been purchased by the company. She was built in Hamburg in 1868 The emigrants on board the Dorette are far below the average. The single women are the best on board. They appear strong and hearty. The following is a list of the emigrants on board the Dorette for Auckland, which left Gravesend on the 21st of January : — Married couples, 94 souls ; single men. 95 ; single women, 33 ; children : boys 37, girls 40—77 ; infants, 16 ; 315 souls — 260£ adults. The next ship for Auckland will be the fine iron ship .Rooparell, Al, 1040 tons, about five years old. The ship Asia, 1446 tons register, sailed from Queenstown on the Bth January, with 482 souls, for Otago.
