The promoters have every reason to believe in the existence of rich leads of gold .on the Flat, which is about four miles in extent, as all the rich workings of Mosquito, Back • Creek, Topsj's Gully, Napoleon and Noonan's lead have been traced into it. The present Shareholders, 11 in number, hold 20 acres, and have for some iinonths past been sinking, and have struck auriferous wash at] a depth of 40ft, at 160 ft from the shaft, but find it necessary to erect certain drainage machinery r and have the ground worked in a systematic and extensive way. There is plenty of available water in the creek which can be secured, arid it is hot expected' that more than a quarter of t the capital will be called up,' ;.: •; , ; The present shareholders will make over to the Company all their rights and interests receiving therefor -'600 paid-up shares, and are willing to bind themselves not to part with the same until a dividend may become payable.
