Sales have not , : ; excited - much , interest. Breadstuffs sho^v little alteration. One or two smji^l parcels of flour were disposed of by auction at Ll4 7s 6d. Privately we hear of a line of 40 tons . having been sold at Ll4 10s. Quotations for bakers' lots are unaltered. About 300 bags of wheat were disposed of by auction at Cs ■3d to 6s CJd. Sales privately are mentioned at 6s 6d. Oats are very scarce and wauted i Extreme prices were realised at the public sale, 600 bags were sold at 4s 10d for inferior, 5s 3d to 5s 6d for good to fine feeding sorts, and 5s 8d for seed*. Malting barley is ! . very saleable.; about a thousand bushels brought 6s 3d to 6s 6d, while Cape was quitted at 4s lOd to ss. 318 bags maize were got rid of at 6s 34d, but 6s 4d, subsequently.offered, was rofused, and quotations in the ordinary course of business do not . | rule, under 6s S(L We have little to report in general trade in the way of sales Sugars are very quiet.
