THE LATE AHAURA RACES,
[TO THE BDITOB.] Sib— l' perceived in your last week's issue two replies to a letter of " Old Sport's ? on the management and success of the, late. Ahaura Races, but I really believe that of the three letters written " Old Sport's " bore a great amount of truth. I fancy it must havo touched in some way on the dignity of the Ahauraites if one can judge correctly from the voluminous letter of "One of the late Stewards," aud-.I 'question much if the Doctor had the power of being a handicapper, when, on the first day of the races/ he pulled off the iusignia of office as. steward, with one or two others, and threw the same on the ground, and refused to act as steward. Therefore his reply, I think, needs very little comment. Hoping for future more successful meetings than* the last, and apologising for intruding on on your valuable space, I am, &c, Anticipator.
