Napier, March 23. Skirmishing Match.— First prize, Ll2, Grundy, Thames, 97 points ; second, L 9, J. Buchanan, 90 ; third, LB, Hoskins, 69 ; fourth, L 7, Keys, A. C, 69 ; fifth, L 5, Daviea, 69 ; sixth, L 6, Fox, 69 ; seventh, L 3, Bassett, 66 ; eighth, L 2, Boardman, 65.
The- match on Wednesday between ten of the Napier Rifle Volunteers and ten representative, five highest and five lowest in aggregate. The highest scorer of each team gets L 5.

All Comer? Match to-morrow. Auckland, March 23. The Mayor stated to-day that typoid fever was prevalent, owing to defective sanitary arrangements. Arrived— H.M. Blanche. The Superintendent has gone south in the Taranaki to-day. Wellington, March 23. The shareholders in the New Zealand Coal Company resolved that the company should be wound up voluntarily. Ll5O have been collected and divided amongst the wrecked seamen of the Cyrus and Wellington. Tauranga, March 23. The yacht Blanche has arrived, and the Governor was enthusiastically received at Tarewera. He will arrive here on Thursday, and leave in his yacht for Auckland on the following morning. Christchurch, March 23. At the Superintendency nomination, W. Rolleston wa3 elected without opposition. In his speech the Superintendent spoke strongly on the necessity of opening ! up better communication with Westland, via the northern part of the Province. Auckland, March 23. The frieuds of Volunteer Hoskins, Thames, offer to back him against all competitors, but Hoskins declines to fire. The Thames Volunteers are willing to fire against Napier men for any sum from LSO to LSOO.
