The OUtgo Daily Times states that it is reported that Mr H. S- Fish, jun., will aim at representing the city of Dunedin in the House of Representatives, in the place of Mr Bathgate. The services of Mr John Davie were solicited, but he has declined to allow himself to be nominated at present. For several days a rumor prevailed that rfr A. C. Strode was likely to come forward. Were he to do so, his return would be regarded as certain, but we are in a position to state that he will not be a candidate at the present time.
