There were no arrivals or departures yesterday. The p.s Lioness was expected during the afternoon for the purpose of enabling Mr Moriarty to take soundings and otherwise to examiue the bar, but we presume that the state of the weather, and the probability of a heavy sea setting in from the northward, induced her owners to detain lier at Hokitika.
