Tenders. v"VTEW ZEALAND TELEGRAPH. TENDERS are required for the SUPPLY and DELIVERY of Six Hundred, more or less, TELEGRAPH POLES, between Reefton and Lyell, at mark pegs along or near the dray road. They must be tot&ra saplings, or sawn square; if saplings they must be not less than ten inches at the butts and eight inches at the heads,, twenty and twenty.five feet ong, straight and sound, and stripped of the bark two feet at the top end ; if Bawn they must be eight inches at the butts and six inches at the heads, sound, free from sap, bad knots, shakes or speckled timber, same lengths as above, and. will have to be submitted to inspection before they are accepted. Delivery must be completed within eight weeks after the contract is signed. Tenders must enclose the sum of twenty pounds to be forfeited m the event of refusing to take up the contract. Two approved sureties must be found by the accepted tenderer, or cash deposited to the amount of twenty per cent, of the contract, as a guarantee for its due fulfilment.
