As platinum in commercial value is about eighteen shillings per ounce, the proprietor is. reported to.be much nleased wibh hia discovery, and intends, sensibly, to make the most of it. • The Rockhampton Argus, from which we take the above, announces that cinnabar in payable quantities has also been discovered near Rocknampton. and that a mineral lease of the ground, to the extent of four hundred acres, has been taken up.
