; i The iron at Collingwood. is. known tp exist in enormous while its quality is now proved- to be beyond all I^qnestion. It is situated ; aß6ut four miles ; to' ! the southward of the > Aorere River, which is the shipping port of the district, and about the same distance ta the northward of this river is the Cblling wood doal-mine, which it is said is to be worked in conjunction with the iron, while in the same district there is to be found any quantity oflime, which- ia an essential i ingredient in converting the ore into a . marketable article. Nature could not possibly have been more considerate to the disposition of her stores of wealth, and the success of the Para Para Company is, so far as human eye can see, beyond f all doubt. For many years it has been . foretold that Collingwood woqld some day become a most important mineral district, There are hopes now that the long-looked-for day may shortly be definitely fixed ■j ■ ■ ■
