Weathor overcast. Westport bar slightly rough. Hokitika bar cood. Barometer was highest at Napier and Wanganui, 30.12 ; and lowest atthoßcalcy, 27.61. Thermometer was highest at Tauranga, 72 ; fnd lowest at Lyttelton, 58. Tho Konncdy is announced to sail for Westport and Nelson to-morrow night. Tho Kato Conloy was tho or'y vessol on tho berth for Greymouth when the Tararna left Melbourne. A large schooner of 120 tons burthen has been launched from tho building yards of Messrs Niccol and Sons, Devonport, Norlh Shore, Auckland, to the order of Captain Moller and Mr Conroy, intended for the Tauranga and Auckland trade. The vessel,' which is somewhat larger than the usual class of coasters, possesses very fine Ties, and is built in the best style of these well-known shipwrights. She was launched and christened the Dauntless, as she left the stocks, in the customary manner, by Mrs Conroy. She will be commanded by Captain Moller. Her tonnage is 72 tons. The same builders have another vessel of similar .dimensions on the stocks. Captain Fox, of Sydney, who was present at the launch, spoke in the highest; terms of the build of Auckland vessels, which he said could compare favorably with that of any port in the Southern seas.
