Gladstone's Suspensory Bill is considered certain to be rejected by the Lords. The Disestablishment of tho English Church is spoken of. In reply to a question in the House, Disraeli said that Government would not defend Mr Eyre against tho prosecution of the Jamaica committee, but would reserve the right to ask Parliament to indemnify him. I Andrew Johnston is still President. Stanton has resigned. Cardinal Andrea is dead. The reserve of the Greek army has been called out. Deputies elected by insurgent candidates to the Greek Chamber have beon requested to leave, and declined. The Turkish minister declared that if tho deputies were received he would demand his passport. France, Austria, and England have protested against tho admission of Cretan deputies. Davis's trial is again postponed to tho fourth Monday in November. General John M. Schofield, the new Secretary of War, took the oath and assumed charge of his Department on tho Ist. M'Clellan's nomination as Minister to England is withdrawn. The Hon. Beverly Johnson is to be Mr Adams' successor. On Stanton'a retirement the Senate tendered him a vote of thanks. Via New York, June 9. The Emperor Napoleon is sick. Franco has resumed diplomatic relations with the Bey of Tunis. Plans for the re-organisation of tho military forces of the Austrian Empire are being gradually carried out. The standing army is to consist of 800,000 men, and the Landwehr of 200,000 men. The Emperor of Austria asserts that he had to make liis choice of two alternatives — the signing of recent laws hostile to tho Concordat, or tho abdication of his throne, and ho chooso the former.
