The weights will be made and declared previous to 9 o'clock in the evening of the second day's racing, so as to allow the Stewards full opportunity of rating the merits of the hor3es by the previous two days' running. Acceptances, with 8 soys, must be given to the Qlerk of the Course previous to 11 o'clock the same evening. The Cobuen Plate, of 3Q soys, under the same conditions as the Trial Stakes ; but | . the winner, of that race to carry 71bs penalty, and the second horse 3lbs. The winner of the Local Plate to carry 51bs penalty ; heats .; one mile and a quarter. Entrance, 3 soys. EEGULATIONS.
The rules of the Cauterhury Jockey Club will be enforced, unless when otherwiao specified. Entries and nominations to be made on Friday evening, March 15th, previous to nine o'clock, at Kilgour's Union Hotel. All entries and acceptances must be in writing, specifying age and description of horse, and colors of rider; ar.d contain the requisite money. j All horses must be ridden in colors. I In all or any disputes, the decision of the Stewards to be final; A qualification of 2 soys must be paid, by non-subscribers to that amount, .except for the Packer's Purse. All stakes paid less 5 per cent, towards expenses.
