The General Government Gazette? contains a notice that the new rates of postage will come into force on the Ist January. For the information of our readers, we re-publish these rates : — I — TOWN I.KTTKISS. Posted at any post-office within the vJolony for delivery at or from such post-oflice — Not exceeding half an ounce - -Id Exceeding half an ounce, but not exceeding one ounce - - - 2d For every ounce or fraction of an ounce over one ounce - - - 2d II— COUX TI! V LKTT EliS. Posted at any post-ollice within the Colony for delivery at or from any other post-ollice within the same Province — Not exceeding half an ounce - - 2d Exceeding half an ounce, but not exceeding one ounce - - - 4d For every ounce or fraction of an ounce over one ounce - - - 4d III— INTKK-rKOVIXeiAL J.KTTKISS. Posted at any post-office within the Colony for delivery at or from any post-office in any other Province within the Colony — Not exceeding half an ounce - - 3d Exceeding half an ounce, but riot exceading one ounce - - - Gd For evury ounce or fraction of an ounce over one ounce - - - Gd
