RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S' COURT, GREYMOUTH.
Tuesday, November 6. (Before W. H. Itevell, Esq., R.M.) Mary Holmes, who had refused to appear to a summons issued last week, on a charge of sly grog selling, and against whom a warrant had been issued for her. apprehension, was brought up, having been arrested at Hokitika. The accused keeps, a cigar divan near the European Hotel, and in the case on which the present prosecution was founded she li*d supplied spirits to one of the informers who were concerned in the other cases. The offence was clearly proved, and she was ordered to pay a fine of LSO, or go to gaol for four months. The fine was paid. Wednesday, November 7. Drunkenxesss.— James Nicol, for being' drunk and disorderly, was lined 10s and costs. CIVIL CASES. Graham and Grogan v. Patterson.— -Claim L 7 ss. Judgment for plairitift by default.
