SUPPOSED DEATH FROM CHLORODYNE.

Herman Prince died suddenly at his lodgings in Cumberland street on Saturday afternoon, it is supposed from having taken an overdose of ohlorodyne. For some time the deceased complained of severe headaches, and on Friday night said bis head was very bad. Mrs Mitchell, from whom he rented a room, suggested that he should see a doctor. He replied that he knew what to take, and went to his own room. On the following day Mrs Mitohell heard deceased snoring heavily, and as he did not get up, she . became alarmed, and, acoompanied by Mr Margett, entered his room at about two o'clock on Saturday afternoon. Decease! was then sleeping heavily, and no attempt sai made to rouse him. Later on Mrs Mitchell again looked into the room, and seeing his appearance had greatly ohanged thought he was dead, and at onoe_ sent to report the oirenmstanoe to the police. An empty two-onnce phial was fonod on the washstand, and it is supposed the deceased died from an overdose of oblorodyne. Prinoe was a photographer, unmarried, and had no relatives in the oolony.
