The "Reno (Oregon) Gazette " io speaking of the cattle interests of that State save: W. B. Todhunter branded last spring over 9000 calves, and has sent to market this season 6COO beef cattle. These figures prova Mr Todhunter to be the largest stook raiser in the oountry. There are others who send more oattle to the market, but they buy them instead o£ raising them. He has over 20,000 head of stock cattle and over 100,000 acres of patented land, Ho got patents last month for 35,000 aores of swamp land in one bunch. He has about 1000 bulls and 300 saddle horses. He employs fifty men, and puts up 25,000 tons of hay to guard against hard winters. He keeps 100 work horses, and raises grain enough to feed all his saddle and work ttook. Besides his cattle he has 700 or 800 stook horses, fourjaoks and fifty stallions. His stock is divided among five ranohes —one known as the White House Banoh, lying just inside the Oregon line, whore 6000 head are kept; one in Long Valley, in the north western corner of Nevada, lying alongside of Surprise, supports 4000 head; the Pyramid Ranoh, lying at the north-eastern oorner of the lake, has 1500 and a lot of horses; the Abbott Ranoh, at Steen's Mountain, feeds about 5000, and Harney Valley about 5000 more, The home ranoh is about twenty-five miles from a neighbor,
