[PII PBHM ABBOOIATIOH.} AUCKLAND, September 14. The Natives at Whatiwhatihoe are awaiting Mr Bryce's arrival. They anticipate the opening of the oountry, but have no idea how it is to be done. A portion of Mrs Cleaver's stormoh WJU be forwarded to Mr Skty, the Government analyst at Wellingtoa. A carter named Bird was thrown from a dray to-day, whea the wheel parsed over his back and severely injured his spine. His recovery is considered hopeless. He hai a wife and large family. WELLINGTON, September 14. The English Church at Johnsonville, near Wellington, was destroyed by fire at eleven o'olock last night. Some furze burning in the neighborhood oommnnicated the fire to the ohurch, which was quiokly destroyed. The inhabitants of the village tr-ned out, and suooeeded in saving some of its oontenta. It was insured in the South British for £3OO. Both Houses of Parliament meet at 3 o'clock to-morrow afternoon. The prorogation takes place shortly afterwards, the three Commissioners being Sir Wm. Fitzherbert (Speaker of the Le illative Council). Hon. F. Whitaker (Premier), and Sir Q. S. Whitmore.
