One of the C.W.T. line, tho brig Bio Loge. Capt. Walker, arrived on Saturday from Port Louis, Mauritua, with a cargo of sugar, a portion of •which is consigned to Dunedin. On the passage up to Cape Town, the voyage to which was commenced on the 4th of laßt December, from Oamaru, an ordinary eeaman named John Anderson mot his death under tho following circumstances :—The day after leaving Oamaru he was engaged Btowing the foretop-gaUant sail, ■when the sail struck him and knocked him off the yard. In hia descent he struck the rail of tho vessel, and went over the side, ■nothing more being seen of him. A strong S.W. wind was blowing at the time, but the veaßel was brought to, and a life-buoy was thrown over. Off the pitch of the Horn, on January 3rd, some vory hard weather was experienced, barometer 28.36, and the vessel rolling water over her "like a half-tide rock." Table Bay was reached on January 30th. Discharged cargo of oats, and went to Houts Bay, where a quantity of dried fish was loaded, and the vessel left on 15th February for Port Louis. She arrived there on March 7th, and left on the 25th. On the home passage was hove to from the 21st to the 24th April in a gale, then being in tlia vioinity of the Leuwin. Variable weather was experienced since then to reaching this port. The round voyage occupied just five months and ten days. __^__^^__
