MAIL NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places (subject to the necessary alterations) as under THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 18. For Otago, per Penguin, at 12.25 p m.; late fee letters, 12.35 p.m.; guard’s von, 1.25 p.m. train. For Northern ports, per Rotomahana, at 3.20 p.m.; late fee letters, at 3.30 p.m.; guard’s van, 4.5 p.m. train. FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 19. For Northern ports, per Oreti, at 1.50 p.m. ; late fee letters, at 2.10 p.m. ; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. SATURDAY. NOVEMBER 20. For Nonhorn ports, per Wanaka, at 7.30 pm. Guard’s van must not be used for this mail. TUESDAY. NOVEMBER 23. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Ringarooma. The next mail for the United Kingdom, &0., via San Francisco, will close on Saturday, i.'ecember oth, and wild be due in London on January 18 th, 1881. Note.—Oa and after Saturday, 4th December. the Money Order and Savings Banks Office will close each Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock. 'J he office will open again at half-past six o'clock to receive Savings Bank deposits only, nd will remain open till half past eight o’clock.
