The Customs duties collected.at Christchurch ■cn Saturday, November loth, were as follows : —Spirits, .£73 14s lOd ; tobacco, £42 17s Gi ; cigars, £l9 Os 3d ; wine, .£2O 7s lOd ; sugar, £32 13s 4d ; tea, £l6; goods by weight, £l4 3s fid.; ad valorem, £lB 18s; ■Other duties, 10s 5d ; total, £241 Os Bd. AUCTIONEER'S EEPOET. Ms T. Preece reports a fair- supply of live stock of various sorts at his saleyards, Lichfield street on Saturday last, and considering it was -the race week, the attendance of farmers and others was good. Several useful ..horses were disposed of by auction and privately to owners’ satisfaction. Thirty five head of cattle, principally young stock, were yarded, and all were sold. Calves especially command hi eh figures, ■owing no d. übt to the abundant supply of milk. There is still a good demavd for pigs, 90 were penned, and all sold at high figures. Sows, 50s, 57a and 61s each. The supply of poultry was not nearly equal to the demand. Turkeys. 16s per pair; geese. 10s fidperp-'ir; ducks, 5s to Ss fid per pair; fowls, 3s fid to 4s 61 per pair.
