POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the fol lowing places (subject to necessary alterations) as under : TUESDAY, JANUAEY 13. For Northern Ports, per Taiaroa. For Otago, per Ringarooma. The next mails for the United Kingdom, via Southampton and Brindisi, will bo closed at Christchurch on January 15th, The next mail for the United Kingdom via Snn Francisco will be closed at Christchurch, on January 3lst, and will be due in London on March 16th.
