Moils close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to the neoeasaiy alterations WEDNESDAY, APRIL 30. For Australian Colonies, per express traiuto Port Clialmers, at 7.30 a.m. For Northern Ports, per Arawata, at 1.50 p.m. ; late fee letters, 2,10 p.m.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. For Otago, per Wakatipn. SATURDAY. MAY 3. For Northern Ports, per Hawea, at 1.50 p.m.; late fee letters, 2,10 pm.; guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. For the United Kingdom, &c., per Stad Haarlem, as follows ; Ordinary letters, at 1 p.m. Late foe letters, at 1.45 p.m. Books and newspapers, at noon. Registered letters, at noon. Money orders, at 12,30 p.m. Guard’s van, 2.40 p.m. train. The next mails for the United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton (for specially addressed letters only), will be closed at Christchurch on May sth. ’’’ho mail via Brindisi will ho due in London on Juno 30th, and the mail via Southampton on July 7th. . The next mail for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will be closed at Christchurch on Friday, May 23rd, and will be due in London on July Bth. SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
