Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the fwTowing places as under, subject to the necessary alterations i- HURSDAy> APEIL 18 , The delivery window at the head office, Christchurch, will be open from 8 to 9 p.m. ( this day, and residents in the ciy, can obtain correspondence daring these hours by making application to the clerk on duty. FEIDAY, APEIL 19. A Post Office holiday, all branches of the office will be closed- , . , ... , , , Mails received during this day will be sorted between 8 and 9 p.m. SATUEDAY. APEIL 20. Per Otago, per Eotorua, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 3 10 u m.: railway station, 2.40 p.m. train, A 9 ’ MONDAY, APEIL 23.
For Otago, overland, at 6 a.m. For Akaroa and Dunedin, per Maori, at 1.50 p.m.; Sate letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.40 p.m. South and Australian Colonies, per Alhambra. The next English mail, via San Francisco, will close at Christchurch on or about the 26th iust. Close ua v- SYDNEY J. DICK, Chief Postmaster.
