CHRISTCHUItCH. Saturday, November 21. (Before Dr Back and R. Westenra, jun., Esq., J.P.'s.) INDECENT CONDUCT IN GOVERNMENT DOMAIN. Thomas Barrett and Margaret Guerin were charged with an offence of this nature. Barrett was fined £4, and the woman, who was proved to be an old offender, and a disorderly character, was sentenced to three months' imprisonment with hard labor as a vagrant. DRUNK AND DISORDERLY, Angus Sutherland, for drunkenness, was fined 10s. LYTTELTON. Friday, November 20. [Before W. Donald, Esq., R.M.] COMBINING TO DISOBEY LAWFUL COMMANDS. William Woods and George Pearce, of the ship Waitara, were charged with this offence. The case was withdrawn. ASSAULTING THE CAPTAIN AND OFFICERS OF THE SHIP WAITARA. George Pearce and William Woods were charged with this offence, and Pearce was sentenced to twelve weeks' and Woods to eight weeks' imprisonment with hard labor. ASSAULT. George Pearce and William Woods, further •charged with this offence by a seaman. Holsen, were sentenced to four weeks' im :prisonmeut each. "WILFUL DISOBEDIENCE OF LAWFUL COMMANDS. 'George Sraithburn, charged with this offence, was sentenced to one week's imprisonment. USING ABUSIVE LANGUAGE. Henry Barker, charged with this offence against Honora Davis, was fined os and costs.
