Selling off ! ! Whips for twirling round ladies thumbs, Hunting crops for gents just out; Light fancy ticklers for childrens gums, Brave one’s for wives with drunken louts. Selling off! Selling off ! ! Round up, round up, you stockmen bold, We have gear the right sort to suit you ; There’s thongs that’ll crack in a manly hold, Full loud enough to scare old Clootie. Round up ! Bound up ! ! A spur in the head, and a pair on the heejs, And our pigskins well girth’d beneath ’un ; The good steed bounds, and brave hearts feel, As if leaving the earth behind them.
