To the Editor of the Okie. g lß) _The fame of Professor Bickerton’s learning and his important mission, has reached even to my humble cottage, thanks to your widely circulated journal. I am indeed, truly pleased with this mark of attention from our Provincial Government. I am sure all are anxious to profit by his
presence, but of course everyone cannot attend his lectures at once, nor would it do for his time to be taken up in answering private correspondents. I therefore ask you to give encouragement by inserting questions on useful subjects, so that the Professor’s answers may be made known to all. I will begin by putting the following questions. What is colza and linseed oil made from, where and how grown, and how extracted. Please state also how many varieties of each are known, and what is thesr difference. Yours, &c, JOHN.
[Professor Bickerton’s time is probably too valuable to be taken up iu answering such simple questions as our correspondent puts. The -Literary Institute is open, and the information desired may be obtained by reference to various works in that useful institution. — Ed. Globe.]
