tt FLOODLIGHT MEETING. The weekly floodlight sports meeting conducted by tho Professional Athletic and Cycling Club was held on the Victoria Domain last evening. Ideal weather conditions prevailed and a largo gathering of spectators were present. Tho track was in splendid condition and several good performances wore registered. Two newcomers to tho professional 1 flanks were successful in the finals, E. Gregg winning the men’s 100yds., and T. Trengrovo gaining the men’s ■ 3 laps running race. Three wrestling bouts wore witnessed,, and as usual, were a popular addition to the evening’s entertainment. In the main bout on the pro- | gramme between A. Head and H. Duck ' worth, Bead appeared in the ring clad in a dressing gown that would have put a sunset to shame. The bout was characterised by hard and fast wrestling, neither man gaining a fall.
