Show, a. visit was paid by officials), of the Poverty Bay A. and ]?. Association to' Coast centres and an encouraging result was reported -by the president, Mr J. ,C. Graham, to a. meeting of the general committee on Saturday. Mr Graham said that as the result of a nieethg held at Ruatoria a number of new members worts elected and Messrs A- L, Kemp and D. J. Williams had been appointed to represent the association. There was every prospect of a larger number of entries, coming from the' Coast but the trouble appeared to be transport. The visit as a whole .was well worth while. Mr H.G. Smith endorsed the president’s remarks. Air Graham stated that in regard to assistance with transport some of the entries might not he sent hack to the Coast, but sold after the Show. He urged that the association should; consider the idea of holding a sale of show stock on the grounds. After discussion, .the president and Messrs F. Toler ton. G. H. Soeats, A. C. ’Langford, and. J. Elvers were appointed a committee to. bring up a scheme in regard to l transport and re port to next meeting.
