CYCLIST FATALLY INJURED. (Press Association). WANGANUI, Seipt. 13. As a result of injuries received Avhen his cycle collided with a tram at, the intersection of the Heads Road an Liffiton street on Saturday morning, Frederick Jameis Renfold, aged 4 . years, a married man ■of Carlton Avenue, Gonvillo, died in Wanganui Hospital. Pinfold received a fracturer skull and was in a scrious condition when admitted to hospital. OAR RUNS INTO ANOTHER. BOTH DESTROYED BY FIRE) (Tress Association). WELLINGTON, Sept. 12. Three people had a miraculous escape from serious injury or death when one motor car hit the back o. another and both took fire on the Hutt road shortly after 7 o’clock last evening. The cars were totally destroyed and the only hurts the occupants suffered Avere minor injiuries to tAVO passengers in the second car, the driver of Avhich escaped injury. A car owned and driven by James Perrett, of NcnvtoAvn, Avas coming along . Hut Road from Petone into Wellington when the car suddenly developed engmo trouble and stopped. Perrett set off to Avalk to a service station. Tho second car, the driver of wlno.i came along also travelling southward, crashed, into t>e back oL the, otnsr c „ with a resounding crash. Fire immediately broke out and the strong northerly Avind blowing fanned tne flame's, so that, in the matter of seconds, the tivo cars were the centre s an inferno. The three occupants of tho .second car scrambled out before tpe flames reached them. 1 , _
