SAVAGE CLUB

MONTHLY KORERO MUSIC AND FUN AT CITY HALL The usual outstanding success- attended the Savage Club’s korern in the Oity Hall last evening, when there was a very large attendance.. Included amongst the visitors was Sir . Alexander Roberts. The chairman "for tlie evening' was Savage Yv E. Sanders. A most enjoyable programme was staged, comprising a song by Savage W. Norman; recitation by Savage S. Vincent; vocal quartettes by Savages C. Hampton, J. Aiicell, F. Neill, and R. Oxenham, and by Savages V. Havre, P. Hockley, A. Allan and W. Mhirgoliouth; double- bass- solo by Shv age H. Moore, demonstration of boxing by Messrs Watty Robertson and Frank Allan, followed by a burlesque blindfold boxing match between Savages Dobson and- Margoliout-h. A-s always, the items by the club orchestra. under Salvage Mainland Foster, were one of the features of the evening.

During an interval Savage 11. F. F'orster was called to- tlie dais and complimented on having joined the Hard Hat 'Brigade. He was promoted by the chairman to the Silk Hat Brigade and was- further promoted to the Spats Brigade, being presented with a silk hat and a pair of spats, amidst much laughter.
