MI.A., and Mr G. 11. Thorp, Agr. Sc., the agricultural instructor, joined at the beginning of July. The school roil is now 501. The annual football match with Napier takes place cn July IS and with. Hastings on July 20. The Department’s inspectors will visit Ihc school on July 20 in connection with free place- and higher leaving certificate assessments. Evening classes tare- now conducted in dressmaking woodwork, show-card writing. «(:o thand, advanced bookkeeping. English and-arithmetic, mercantile law, economies,- mechanical drawing, invalid cookery, senior and junior bookkeeping. motor engineering, typewriting, electrical wiring, applied mechanics, plumbing (theory and practice). drawing and art, and wool classing. The enrolments totalled 311 and the number of individual students was 183.—The report was adopted.
