j CAR, HITS PIE CART • FOUR MEN INJURED (Press Association; CHRISTCHURCH, July 11. Four men were injured when a. motor car ran into a pie cart near the corner of Colombo and Armagh streets at 12.20 this morning. The most serious injuries were suffered by R. T. Fraser, 15, Vickery bead, Soekburn, who received a compound fracture of the left leg and was-admitted to Christchurch hospital, where his condition to-day was reported to be satisfactory. F. Quartlv Templeton received injuries to life face and head and was treated as an outpatient -at the hospital. Jeffrey Vivian Coho. St. Asaph St. an attendant, received injuries to his right arm. Gco'-ge Rowland Hill, 74 Queen St., another attendant, was scalded on the left arm by the overturning of the coffee urn. Coira was treated as an outpatient and Hill was attended by the St. John Ambulance. The ]>’c cart was extensively damaged, being pushed on the footpath by the ear, wlkch was travelling in a westerly direction along Armagh St. The cart stands alongside Victoria Square on tho right hand side of 'the road from too direction in which tho Car was travelling. There were about a dozen persona at the cart at the time, and a .number of bystanders and bicycles were also about, so that the accident caused considerable commotion.

The evening was foggy. The pic cart is owned by R. Musson. The drive.' of the car was arrested.
