TE K All AKA NOTES ST. JOHN’S LADIES’ GUILD (Special to the Times.) At the annual meeting, officers wore elected as wider: President. Mrs J. D. Hodgson: vice-presidents, Mesdames Bmisfield, Shanks, Lucas, Jonathan Hutchison. McKinnon, and Mss Orr; hon. secretary, Airs W. Y. Lut troll; treasurer, Airs J. G. Apple-ton; hon. auditor. Air C. Leggett. BASKETBALL Two teams from the Secondary Department competed against teams comprised of Te Karaka and Pulia ladies, resulting in one win and one loss for the school. The referees were Misses J. Sanders and 13. Thompson. PERSONAL Mrs J- Steel, Waihora- road, is visiting relatives in Dunedin. Air and Airs P. Howard and Airs F. Howard left recently for a holiday in the South Island. Air Wallace Scott, East Coast, is spending a fortnight’s holiday with !fs parents, Air and- Airs 11. Scott. Pulia. Air K. Alorris is holidaying in the Wairarapa. Air J. Y. Castles, Kanakanaia, has returned from a holiday spent in Tatiranga, Auckland, and Hamilton. Sympathy is extended to Air and A 1 r.s R. Brown. Kanakanaia-, on the sad loss of t-he’r child. This is the second bereavement Air and Airs Brown have suiicred this year.
