“A MATTER OF ECONOMIC LIFE AND DEATH.”
“The reason advanced that no indication of the guaranteed price l for dairy products will be given in order to prevent speculation on the market is not the cbrrect one in my estimation,” said Mr A. C. A. Sexton, M.P., in.an address at Franklin.
His opinion was that the Government was waiting to “see which way the cat would jump,”: and how prices overseas might affect New Zealand’s exports. ”!t is fuliy realised that the price as fixed will be a matter of economic life and death for the farmer,” ho added.
