Six passengers can ride comfortably in the 1936 Centrepoise Sedan Cars. Redesigning the gear shift lever assures comfort for all front seat passengers too. 123-inch Springbase Moving the springs fore and aft of the axles not only improved riding qualities, but permitted the V 8 engine to be mounted over the front axle, and the passengers nearer the centre of the car where body width is greatest. 3 V 8 Engine Shortness The shortness of the Ford V-type 8-cylinder engine is one of the reasons why there is more body room on a Ford 112* wheelbase chassis than on many other cars haviflg 6* to 10" more wheelbase. ALL PASSENGERS ARE PROTECTED BY A GENUINE ALL--4 Luggage out of the way All Ford V B’s are provided with luggage space behind the seats where it is not only out of the way, but protected from the elements. 5 Wide Rear Door On four-door sedan car# the rear door has much greater width ' at th© bottom than on cars where passengers sit over the axle. 6 Elbow Room New swinging rear-quarter windows in all sedans allow the arm rest to be recessed in the body side, thus greatly increasing the rear seat comfort. 7 Full Width Footrest On all sedan cars a new hill width footrest is built into tluMl. back of the front seat.
