TRIUMPH FOR SCIENCE

DEAD GIVE SIGHT TO BLIND. LONDON, May 12. Science’s triumph over blindness by the grafting of corneas of eyes from the dead to the living is revealed by Professor V. P. Filatov, director of the-eye clinic of Odessa, who is visiting Moscow. This process will be one of the most important tasks of a new ophthalmic institute at Odessa. Last year 250 such grafting operations were performed, and in 100 of these cases the eyes from dead bodies were used. x Many of the patients in these cases are now able to read and work without handicap.
