Recently a northern newspaper' drew atention to New Zealand’s rarest stamp, a 3d lilac full face Vic toi;a on pelur© paper ,without watermark or perforation. It was stated to ho worth £1750 for an unused specimen, there being no used ones. A Dunedin lady, Mrs. M. Keohane, produced a used one to-day, apparently identical with description. She <got it in a collection presented to her by a cousin, ana states that the chief postmaster advised her to get in touch with the department’s expert in Wellington. ■
