The executive committee, which has been considering various schemes for n. memorial to the late King, has decided that the memory of King George V will be perpetuated by the erection of a statue on a site in Ahindon street directly opposite the Victoria, Tower of-’fhe Houses of Parliament, and by playing fields, each adorned with a memorial gate, throughout the length and breadth of the country.
The clearing of the Ahindon street site will reveal new views of the Henry VII Chanel" and the south side o r Westminster Abbey.
