WEEKLY MEETING. Tho weekly floodlight snorts meeting conducted bv the Professional Athletic and Cycling Club was held on the Victoria Domain last evening. Despite the inclemency of the weather there was a large attendance. The track was in splendid condition and several good performances were registered. In tho final of the noon tin hare race. Mr. E. Lund’s Golden Ranch established a track record. Starting 5 yards behind tho box. Golden Ranch completed the course in the record timo of 27 seconds. The special challenge race between D. McTavish (runner) and C. O’Connell (cyclist) resulted in a win for the cyclist, who beat the runner by a length. Two wrestling bouts were witnessed. arid as usual, were a popular addition to the evening’s entertainment. The match between I. Buscke and J. Coleman resulted in a draw. The bout was clean and fast, Buscke excelling himself in getting out of many serious bolds. A spectacular bout between T). Heeney and J. Ramage resulted in a draw. Tn the third round Heeney gained a fall with a iacknife, hut Ramage equalised in the fourth with a cradle hold.
