WEDDING.

HANSEN—-ABBOT.

A wedding of considerable inter-, est was solemnised in St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, Opotiki, on Wednesday evening, when Muriel Beryl, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs. Alan Abbot, of Kufcarere, was united to Kenneth Carl, only son of Mr and Mrs. O. F. Hansen, of Opotiki. The marriage ceremony was performed by the Rev. C. C. G. Salt, Miss Sjrdenham officiating at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in cornflower blue- suede crepe alia, with silver lame trimming, and hat to tone with latt'C-e crown. She carried a bouquet of blue delphiniums, hydrangeas, and asparagus tied with silver bows. After the ceremony, a reception was held in the Farmers' Rooms, Mrs Abbot (the bride’s mother) receiving the guests in a navy marocain frock, with white -spots, and navy coat and hit to tone. She carried a bouquet of red cactus and begonias. Mrs Hansen (the bridegroom’s mother) was at tired in pink and green floral marocain with coat and, hat to tone, and carrying a bouquet of pink perrenial phlox. Later, the happy couple left amid a shower of good wishes for a honeymoon tour, the bride travelling in blue tweed linen. There were many useful and handsome presents.
