An inquest was held to-day before the Coro Her, Mr. A. S. Laird, concerning the deaths of George Sawyer Robson, 14 years, known as Hori Hoi{ Eupihana, and Trevor Dean, six .years, who were found dead beside the Opuriui stream on October 13 with gunshot wounds in their heads. The evidence showed that Robson, who took the gun from the house without permission, had. a mania for firearms and had on several occasions pointed the gun in fun at neighbours, and at his fatlier-in-law, with whom he lived. The gun was very defective.' The Coroner isaidi lib concluded that the deceased, Robson, Mid pointed the guii.at the deceased Trevor Dean and .it had) accidentally discharged. Alarmed at what he had done iand in fear of the consequence, Robson then turned the. gun on himself and committed -suicide. Ho ■ returned a vbrdUct accordingly.
