When asked at Houghton Valley vvkab ho thought of the intended attitude of the Democrat Party on a motion of no-confidence in the Government-, Mr. C. 0. Mazengarb, Nationalist candidate for Wellington East,, said his Democrat opponent had been reported to have said that Mr. Ihislop “would dodge voting for the Labour Party and he would dodge voting for the other side.” Mr. Mnzengarb said he felt quite sure electors iwould not support any “dodging Democrats’’ or “artful dodgers.” People who visited exhibitions and winter shows were acquainted with “the dodgems,” which provided a. bright little experience while ihey lasted; but no one expected to go where ho wanted to go with the dodgem, because of humps- from other dodgems. And so it would he with dodging Democrats—just a funny lit tlo experience.
