MR M. R. WALLACE. 'F-. <Vre ss Association) Wellington, juiy, n,; The dea'th occlifred- on Monday morning of Mr M.i Rq Wallace; n ari' oid : resident of Wellington, at tho age of 87 years. Born in Ireland, Mr Wallace spent tho greater part of his life at ,Sea; arid eventually settled in Wellington.' Ho was the father of Mr W. J. Wfillace, who is at present with the Maori Rugby team in Australia as joint manager, and at last night’s meeting of the management committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union, of which Mr W. .77 Wallace is a member, a vote of condolence was passed with him and his family on their loss. The death is announced of Mr Lionel Thomnfe ' Courtenay, who wan oriouif three New South Wales Senators 'elected at the last Federal elections, but who- had not actually been sworn tn. He was prominent in city, mamicipal, and puhfic life. Ho was 56 years of age.
