The International Chamber ot Commerce Congress, at its final meeting, unanimously passed a- resolution declaring that the stabilisation of foreign exchanges on the basis of gold was imperative for the world economic recovery, and urging the principal governments to immediately inaugurate consultations for the purpose of effecting provisional stabilisation to enable the speediest possible measures to adjust the national economic and finan cial poFcies and to assure the safe functioning of the international geld standard over a long perid. The congress accepted an invitation to held the next meeting at Berlin in 1937.
