In the House of Commons Mr MacDonald was cheered when, answering- a question, he said that his recent article in a weekly journal blaming Germany for her new threat to peace represented the policy of the Government. Mr. Cocks: “Is the Prime Minister aware that it is the only thing he has done since 1931 which has won a certain amount of Labour approval?’’ Mr. MacDonald: “I am very glad to hear that.” Mr. Mander: “Is it not one of the best articles Mr. MacDonald has written for a long time.” (Renewed cheers).
