VETERAN PUPILS
LOCAL ASSOCIATION FORMED. EX-STUDENTS AT GISBORNE . SCHOOL. At an enthusiastic meeting held in the Cosmopolitan Club last evening, an-association was formed of former pupils of the Gisborne School who attended the institution during the terms of the first three headmasters, Messrs. Mamerley, Thomas Morgan and J. H. Bull. Membership, it was agreed, shall be limited to those attending the school up to 1902, when Mr. Bull concluded his term of headmastership. The advantages of forming such an association were stressed-by several speakers and it was eventually decided to form the association, the name chosen being the Gisborno School Veterans’ Association. Officers were elected as follows: Patron, Air J. H. Bull; president, Air Robert Robb; vice-presidents, Alessrs E. L. Maude, IV. Priestley and A. Made; committee, Afessrs. P. Keiha, C. Ferris, B. Gray, IV. Ardern, W. M. Cox and J. IV. Somervell; hon. secretary,‘Mr G. Brooke Carter; hon. treasurer, Mr P. Bushnell. The subscription was fixed at 2/6 and it was agreed t-o hold an opening function at an early date, the form of same being left for the committee to decide.
