Scheuermann, president of the Film Chamber, created a '.sensation by announcing that a delegation ot British cinema owners, after acceptance weeks ago, declined to attend the international film congress tod'ay and cancelled 42 hotel bookings. Dr Scheuermann attributes tile inoi’dent to a misunderstanding arising from political considerations. The Dutch also declined to participate, though 1000 delegates represent 40 nations.
