In reply to an inquiry yesterday ms to the prospective appointment of a .Judge to act as president of the Court of Review, to deal with mortgagors’ liabilities under the Rural Mortgagors (Final Adjustment) Act, and another Judge to make up the strength of the Supreme Court bench after the impending retirement of Sir A. Herdman, the Acting-Prime Minister said that he could not understand the statement that had already been made in the newspapers about possible apointmentn. “As far as the apointments of Judges- are concerned”, the Minister ..said, “nothing has,, been ; finalised as yet and it iis unlikely that an appointments can -be announced for some days.’’— P.A. It was announced yesterday by.Mi Hamilton. (Minister in Charge of tin* Tourist and Publicity Department), that' an advisory committee of representatives, selected from organisations interested in. New Zealand’s tourist traffic, bad been appointed to act in an honorary capacity with tho .Minister. The names of the committee are Mr 11. H. Sterling, representing the Railways; Coloner N. SI. . Falla* representing shipping; • tiie Hon. E. JR. t>avis, representing' hotels'; Mr H. ICnight, lepfescnEing motor transport; Mr R. L.
